Thank you for your
interest in the Gateway Shootout Soccer Tournament! Here are a few
FAQ's that may help you and your team enjoy this tournament experience.
Once our team has registered, are
we automatically accepted to play in the Gateway Shootout?
No. The Gateway Shootout is an Invitational Tournament. However,
we rarely turn teams away. Every effort is made for ALL teams interested
in playing to be accepted.
How soon will our team know that we
have been accepted to participate in the tournament?
Once the registration deadline has passed, the tournament committee
will begin notifying teams. The person listed on your registration
form will be receiving information either by mail or by E-Mail.
Is it possible to register for the
tournament after the entry deadline has passed?
Yes, BUT . . . we will only be accepting teams needed to complete
age division pools. It is in your team's best interest to enter
early to be considered. We request you please contact the Gateway
Shootout before sending in a LATE entry.
How do I contact the Gateway Shootout?
You can contact Todd Kassabaum Tournament Director by E-mail todd.kassabaum@stcharlesparks.com,
by telephone at (636) 949-3377, or by fax (636) 949-3337.
What documents are needed to complete
registration at check-in? Your registration will
be considered complete if you turn in the following at check-in:
For Missouri teams - your registration fee is paid, we will need
a copy of your roster to keep along with any guest player forms.
Player passes and medical release forms will need to be available
for check-in as well.
For Out-of-State teams - your registration fee is paid, we will
need a copy of your roster to keep along with any guest player forms.
We will also need your State travel permit. Player passes and medical
release forms will need to be available for check-in as well.
Will we need our player passes for
each game? YES, player passes will be checked by
our Field Marshalls prior to each game. The Field Marshalls will
keep the player passes until the end of the game. As long as there
are NO Red cards given by the referee during the game, player passes
will be returned immediately following the game. If a red card is
given, the player pass will be kept and given to the Tournament
office for the coach to pick-up after the player/coach has fulfilled
the penalty of missing the next game played.
What happens in the event there is
bad weather during the tournament? It's hard to
say what actions will be taken. It all depends on how severe the
weather is or has been. The Gateway Shootout has a Tournament Hotline
(636) 729-2922 that will be updated as changes in playing status
occur to let you know of any game delays or cancellations.
When will we know what our team's
game times? The Gateway Shootout will begin pooling
and scheduling teams as soon as registrations are complete and age
divisions are determined. Schedules will be mailed, E-mailed, or
available on-line, as soon as possible. To help with this process,
please register early, let the tournament committee know of ALL
conflicts (on your registration form), and please try not to make
changes after the registration deadline has passed.
I need to make a change to our registration
form to let you know of a conflict. How do I do that?
You can contact Todd Kassabaum, Tournament Director by E-mail, by
telephone at (636) 949-3377, or by fax (636) 949-3337. As you may
know, the Gateway Shootout will make every attempt to resolve conflicts
your team may have, BUT . . . sometimes requests are unable to be
resolved for numerous reasons. We hope you understand that your
changes may cause conflicts for others. That's why it's extremely
important to register early, let the tournament committee know of
ALL conflicts (on your registration form), and please try not to
make changes after the registration deadline has passed. We appreciate
you cooperation!
Is there a cost for the kids play
area? No, the Gateway Shootout tournament committee
has provided the blow-up park to enhance the overall experience
for all kids involved. We feel that after a game, a kid still needs
to be a kid.
We're looking forward to seeing you and your team at our tournament.
Your comments are always welcome. Please let us know how we can
improve the Gateway Shootout experience in the future by contacting
Todd Kassabaum, or by telling a Gateway Shootout committee volunteer
at the tournament. Thank you!!
