Rain Washes Out Last Day of Tournament

At 9:30 am on Sunday morning, the tournament officials were forced to cancel the remainder of the Gateway Shootout. Persistent rain fell throughout the morning. After careful examination of the fields by tournament and city officials, the fields were considered unplayable and potentially unsafe for the remainder of the day. This decision forced cancellation of the tournament for only the 2nd time in 13 years.

Teams that did not complete their 3rd game as a result of the tournament's decision to cancel will receive a refund according to the posted tournament rules. Those refunds will be sent immediately to each team's contact person.
